Ranunculus by Midori Hirose
Created by Midori Hirose Ranunculus is a top-down round yoke pullover with lace and textured stitches. The round yoke has ample depth and finished pullover has cropped length so that you can lay it over dresses or high-waisted skirts and pants. If crops aren’t your style, please adjust body to your favorite length.
You can choose from
smaller boat neckline or wider boat neckline, and short sleeves,
long puff sleeves with diagonal cuff line or long puff sleeves with normal cuff line.
My both samples with long sleeves (white and red) have diagonal cuff line.
The pullover is worked seamlessly from the top down.
It is a surprisingly quick project at a very loose gauge with big size needles. The combination of thin yarn and big needle gives light, transparent and airy texture to this pullover.
Yarn: Lace, light fingering to worsted weight yarn. The degree of transparency depends on the weight of yarn.
Sizes: One size (XS–M) in the pattern, finished bust circumference is 129 cm (50 ¾“). ease = 35 to 55 cm
Larger bust size pattern: You can also download separated modification pattern for larger bust size. Finished bust circumference: 140 (146, 151, 157, 160, 166) cm /55 (57 1⁄2, 59 1⁄2, 61 3⁄4, 63, 65 1⁄4)“, to fit an actual bust circumference of: 97 (102, 107, 112, 117 122) cm / 38 (40, 42, 44, 46, 48)”.
Yardage: 400 m (438 yds) for short sleeves, 560 m (613 yds) for long sleeves, excluding yarn for knitting swatch.
Needles: 6 mm (US 10) circular needle as main needle 100 cm (40“) or longer. 5 mm (US 8) needle for finishing sleeve (only for long sleeves). Adjust needle size if necessary to get gauge.
Notions: 5 stitch markers, 1 for marking „end of round“ and 4 for „raglan & center front“ (I recommend to use a different color marker for end of round), tapestry needle, waste yarn, crochet hook (only for smaller neckline)
