The weather outside is frightful, but knitting inside All Strung Out is delightful! After a busy holiday season we are ready to help you settle in for a long Winter’s Knit.

Making their debut this January are a whole new array of textures, colors and fibres. First, Berocco Ultra Wool is a lovely new superwash worsted weight yarn that comes in an impressive selection of 63 colors. It is perfect for your next fair isle sweater masterpiece or a cozy cabled blanket. Next, Estelle Alpaca Merino is a heavenly soft blend of luxury fibres available in chunky, worsted and fingering weights. Paula recently knit a Baa-ble hat in this yarn and it turned out beautifully, perfect for fending off the winter chill.

This year we are offering a wide variety of classes and knit-alongs than ever before, so be sure to check out our calendar of events for more information and inspiration.

Christmas 2016

News from All Strung Out

We have had a great Fall with lots of colors and weather that has allowed us to enjoy the outdoors unlike many late falls past.  Well, here at All Strung Out we have enjoyed it right along with you.  We even had an amazing trip to Rhinebeck, NY to see the New York State Sheep and Wool Festival along with some of our friends .  It was amazing and our drive there and back took us through great country.  The yarn and fibre inspired several projects that are on needles now.

The colors at All Strung Out are also amazing and we have a full store packed with many new yarns for your enjoyment.  Estelle’s Alpaca Merino comes in three weights now(Fingering, Worsted and Chunky) and has been very popular with knitters so far. We have a sample in the store of the popular Baa-Ble Hat that we saw at around Rhinebeck on many people knit with the Alpaca Mewino Worsted. It looks and feels awesome.

Zarina Melange and Zara Print Melange are two new yarns from Filatura di Crosa that are fingering and DK weights respectively.  Zarina comes in a wide variety of colors while Zara Print Melange comes in six multi-tone colors that are sure to please.

Cascade’s 220 Superwash Merino (worsted weight) is a lovely yarn with a great feel and vibrant solid colors. Estelle’s Big Time is well suited to the knitter with super big needles or those who want to try there hands or arms actually as knitting needles. You have to see it to believe it with several colors available.

We hope  you get a chance to drop in and see our new look if you haven’t been in for a while.  The new look is going over well.

Open Sundays

Again this year we will be open Sundays from Noon to 4:00 pm.  Come in, take a look around and if you can’t make it to one of our other Knit and Chats, have a seat and enjoy some lively conversation and a bit of knitting. Of course, everyone around the table is ready to help you pick out your next project.

Santa Claus Parade: This Sunday

This Sunday,  November 20,  has  an added bonus with the Guelph Santa Claus Parade passing right by the store about 1:30 or 2:00 pm.  Make sure you get there early to stake your claim to a spot out front.
