Monkey Jacobus (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/monkey-jacobus) by Annita Wilschut is a cute monkey that is knit in one piece in the round, on circular needles or double-pointed needles. You begin at the top of the head, and knit down to the body and the legs. Afterward the arms, the ears, the tail and the muzzle are added. Once you finish the knitting, you can stuff Jacobus, without having to seam the parts together first.
Your monkey can be knit from various types and weights of yarn, the weight of yarn determining the size. Jacobus is fun to knit! Once started, it is hard to put down! (and pssst – you might not be able stop at one!)
By the end of the classes, you (or a young friend) will not only have a lovely monkey, but will also have learned or developed many useful techniques that can be transferred to other projects – this is a wonderful skill-building project!
