Cabling is one of those knitting skills that looks a whole lot more complicated than it is! This is your chance to learn or brush up on some cabling skills, and see just how interesting and fun cabling can be. In this Cabling Intensive class, we will be exploring basic cables in various numbers of stitches, twisted stitches and traveling cables, and learning and practicing two methods of working cables – with or without a cable needle. We will also be learning tips on how to how to read both written and charted instructions and how to keep track of our rows.
Gingersnap (https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gingersnap-2) is a simple colour block cardigan that is suitable for both boys and girls, and can be knit in two sizes (1 yr in worsted; 6 months in DK), in 3 (or 4) colours. By the end of this class, not only will you have a sweet cardigan for the wee one in your life, you will also learn the basics of seamed cardigan construction.
